FFWS 2022 Bangkok Prize pool, Schedule, Teams and Location

The Free Fire World Series (FFWS) is set to return with its second edition of 2022 in November. The FFWS will head to Bangkok, Thailand for the first time to crown a world champion. Top teams from around the world will head over to Bangkok to compete across several matches in Free Fire for a share of an undisclosed prize pool and bragging rights.

After taking place in another Southeast Asian country, Sentosa, earlier this year, the FFWS is back in the region happening on this November.

PRIZEPOOL:


The FFWS Sentosa featured an immense prize pool of $2 million. Garena hasn’t revealed the prize pool for the FFWS Bangkok yet, although it will likely be in this range itself. Teams will qualify for the FFWS through different regional leagues around the world. Garena has said that these will happen over the next two months.

SCHEDULE:


The fourth Free Fire World Series tournament and the second this year will begin with a bang on November 25 for Play-ins, before the Finals happen on November 26.

FFWS 2022 Play-Ins:

The Play-Ins (a qualifying round) is going to start on the 25th of November. 9 top teams from around the globe will compete for limited Grand Final berths. The Play-Ins will feature 8 matches spread across the 4 classic maps which are Bermuda, Purgatory, Kalahari and Alpine. Scores will be calculated by the round ranking and the number of kills players can secure. The top 4 teams from this stage will qualify for the Grand Finals, which is scheduled for the 26th of November.

9. LGDS – Summer Cup

FFWS 2022 Finals:


8 teams are already directly invited for the the final. Four teams from 9 will qualify from Play-ins for the finals which will held on 26 November 2022. Twelve top teams will battle it out for the championship and it promises to be an exciting event. Finals will feature 8 matches spread across the 4 classic maps which are Bermuda, Purgatory, Kalahari and Alpine.

LOCATION


This time around, the esports event will not take place in Singapore, unlike the previous iteration.

Instead, it is set to take place at the homeground of the last two tournament FFWS winners, All Around (FFWS 2022 Sentosa), and EVOS Pheonix (FFWS 2021 SG).

The first Free Fire World Series took place in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in 2019, and was won by Brazilian squad Corinthians.
